About me.
Hi there and welcome to my little blogging corner of the internet! I have been active on social media outlets like Facebook and Instagram for many years now, but blogging is a lot newer for me! I am a US Navy Veteran currently living in California with my husband, Brice, and two kitties, Tonks and Mooney (extra points to you if you caught on that their names are from Harry Potter).
I’ve spent years heavily immersed in the fitness industry between competing in bodybuilding competitions, training for powerlifting competitions, playing around with CrossFit, to my current love of Olympic weightlifting. My pursuit of mental and emotional health started in my late 20s when I started working in the mental health field while pursuing a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (that I never finished – a story for another time). It wasn’t until the last year (2023) where I really started focusing on the whole picture of physical, mental, and emotional health, and figuring out what that meant to me.
I am no expert, by any means, but I know I have experienced a lot of personal growth over the years in many areas of my life including physical health, relationships, mental well-being, work life, and financial health. As an Enneagram 3 and someone who needs to be constantly checking boxes and crossing off my to-do’s, I have learned a lot about how to use this strength to improve my health in all these areas while also struggling with never feeling quite good enough.
I don’t have all the answers, but I figured this would be a good place to talk about the things I’ve done, I’m currently doing, or I want to do in the future in an attempt to THRIVE through this thing called life rather than just existing. Whether you’re a fellow do-er and Enneagram 3, or you’re just someone who wants to improve your health, I hope you find something for you here, even if its just being entertained by my attempt at blogging 🙂
Either way, I appreciate you being here and thank you for your support!
